Room Rates

The Hilton Knoxville is holding approximately 200 rooms at the following rates (based on single or double occupancy):
 
$109 for a Standard room or $119 for a King room (based on availability). 
Lodging tax is 17.25%.
 
The group rate is valid for April 2 - 12, 2009.
 
Availability of a block of government rate rooms is limited. This rate can be reserved at the hotel website (see “Hotel registration” link in left hand column of this page). Please note that a federal government ID is required at check-in.  This rate applies to employees of U.S. government agencies and Federally-Funded Research and Development Centers (FFRDC).  This rate does not apply to government contractors.
 
By following the NPIC&HMIT hotel link to the left, you can register directly for a conference rate room or select the link on that page to register directly for a government rate room.  If you choose to reserve your room through the general Hilton registration system (e.g., Hilton website, Toll-Free registration line, or hotel reservation desk), the group code is TOP for the conference rate and TOPG to request the government rate (Note: gov’t rate requests via these methods will be filled based on availability and date of request).  You are strongly encouraged to use the special webpage link on this page to make your hotel reservation.  Anyone having difficulty securing a reservation should contact Sacit Cetiner cetinerms@ornl.gov for assistance.
 
Cut-off date for above rates is March 2, 2009.  Conference participants are strongly encouraged to request room reservations early.

Hotel registration:
The hotel is located in downtown Knoxville and provides easy access to the meeting space at the Knoxville Convention Center by way of a covered elevated walkway. Because of its central location, the Hilton Knoxville is within walking distance of several restaurants, cafes, and evening entertainment establishments and venues, including the World’s Fair Park and the Sunsphere, the historic Tennessee Theater, Market Square, and the Riviera 8 Cineplex.  Additionally, the hotel is on the Knoxville Trolley Lines service route, which provides free downtown transportation to local attractions that include the Old City, the Knoxville Museum of Art, the University of Tennessee, Blount Mansion, James White Fort, and the Women’s Basketball Hall of Fame.
